In this assignment I will be investigating a number a of different animations methods and processes to support my own create development.

2d animation

Different types of animation 2d digital, cell animation

What is meant by the term 2d animation and what is the difference between cell animation and digital animation.

 

The creation of moving pictures in a two-dimensional environment, such as through "traditional" cel animation or in computerized animation software

 

Digital is anything that is drawn on the computer

 

Cell animation is an animation technique where each frame is drawn by hand. The technique was the dominant form of animation in cinema until the advent of computer animation.

 

What animation did Winsor McKay create what methods did he use?

He was an American cartoonist and animator, who usually worked under the pen name Silas.

He died in 1934 in Brooklyn, New York, before he died he worked on Little Nemo what was produced by Dream of the Rarebit Fiend. His film Gertie was the first film to introduce animation techniques.

 

Stuart Blackton

In 1900 he stared in a film called The Enchanted Drawing which was a silent film. Blackton is said to have developed the concept of animation. He used Stop motion techniques in his film The Enchanted Drawing. This film shows the first animated sequence recorded on film.

Emil Cohl

He was a French cartoonist and animator. His film Fantasmograph created in 1908 is considered to be the first animated film ever made. This film was created using 700 drawings and had a running time of two minutes.

Tony White
was born in 1964 and help with The Thief and the Cobbler he is a British novelist, editor and writer
mostly known for a novel called Foxy-T.

Richard Williams
was a Canadian–British animator that was born in March 1933 and he died aged 81 he directed a fantasy film called The Thief and the Cobbler which was finished in 1993.

Claymation is one of the forms of stop motion
Claymation is made by playing back ten to twenty frames a second.

Clay animated films were made around the early 1908 in the United States.

 

Will Vinton
is a director and producer of films he was born in November 1947 he has also won several awards such as an Oscar several Emmy awards and Clio awards for the work of his studio

Art Clokely

  was an American pioneer born October 1921 and died January 8 2010(2010-01-08) aged 88 he was also

	a Co-creator of Gumby when he was 11 or 12 he was adopted because his parents divorced the classic music composer who adopted him was called Joseph W. Clokey,

 

 gumby

 was created by art clokely, he was a green humanoid character he has been subjected to over 232 episodes as well as a feature-length film Gumby's sidekick is Pokey, a talking orange pony.

 SFX  are physical and real



Rotoscoping


Rotoscoping is a animation technique where an animator traces over film using a rotoscope using masked layers.  It is used mostly for adding and taking away images and is often used in live action films.




Green screen blue screen black screen and red screen

they are all screens used to make the illusion that you are some where else its just so that a person is not wearing a certain colour that is the same as the screen if that were to happen their coving would become the back ground.
